Wireless internet in the Homer Harbor and beyond! Conquer the wireless realm with the latest in mobile wireless technology! A Marine kit allows you to surf the web on ANY wireless network you roam into with your boat.
A SPITwSPOTS marine kit allows you to connect any internet capable device on your boat to our high speed wireless network. Marine kits also offer you the ability to seek and find wireless networks wherever you go.
All marine kits include:
- High gain Marine Antenna
- 10 ft Antenna cable (20 ft add $10)
- Pigtails and connectors
Marine Kits start at $300.
Marine Kit with USB adapter
USB adapters allow you to connect your laptop/computer directly to the SPITwSPOTS Network.
USB adapters plug directly into your computer's USB port. The wireless cards allow for easy wireless roaming. This means anywhere you are, you can scan and find the best wireless signal available.
Setup is incredibly easy. Mount the antennae, run the cable, find a nice stable place for your computer, and plug in. (You may need to install drivers provided on CD) Scan, connect and enjoy.

- High gain Magnetic roof mount Antenae
- 10 ft Antenna cable (for 20 ft add $10)

Requirements:
- Computer with a USB port.
Marine Kit with wireless bridge
A wireless bridge is a 200mW client radio and ethernet port allowing you to connect any ethernet capable device to the SPITwSPOTS Network. This means that any device that has an ethernet port is usable. Most laptops, desktops, and routers are ethernet ready.
Setup is a breeze. Mount the antennae, run the cable, and plug in, connect to the SPITwSPOTS Network, and you're good to go. Most Marine kits are pre-configured for the SPITwSPOTS Network.

- 10 ft Antenna cable (for 20 ft add $10)

Marine Kit with PCMCIA wireless cards
PCMCIA Cards allow you to connect your laptop directly to the SwS Network.
PCMCIA wireless cards plug directly into your laptop or specially modified desktop computer that have a PCMCIA card slot. The wireless cards have a small fragile connector, and allow for easy wireless roaming. This means, you can pull into any harbor, scan, and find the best wireless signal available.
Setup is simple. Mount the antennae, run the cable, find a nice stable place for your computer, and plug in the card. (You may need to install drivers provided on CD) Scan, connect and enjoy.

- Computer with a PCMCIA slot (If you'd like, we can modify some desktop computers to utilize the high quality laptop wireless cards.)

- The PCMCIA cards have a very small connector that we've learned shouldn't be moved much. We will send this to you pre-taped to give it a longer life. We have found this crude method to be the best solution for this brand new technology.

Road Warrior Kit

Comes with an omni directional magnetic roof mount antennae that will flex should the antennae be struck. Starting at $300 the Road Warrior Kit is primarily for laptops with a PCMCIA slot, but custom car computers are also acceptable.
