SPITwSPOTS offers professional computer repair services for all PCs, Macs and mobile computer devices. We can help with any Malware, crashes, connectivity issues or other software related issues. All our Malware removal services come with a 30 day guarantee against reinfestation. The rate for computer repair is $65/work hour. Please note we only charge for the time physically spent working on your computer. So, although we may need to have your computer for several days, you are not getting billed for all that time.
Things You Need to Know Before We Work on your Computer:
Computer repair takes time! A lot of time. Your computer will likely be with us for about a week. We are very thorough with our work; we run several in-depth virus scans and diagnostic programs. These routinely take several hours to finish even a single scan. And each scan needs to be run multiple times. There are simply no shortcuts to good work and a clean computer. Very simple (non-malware related), repairs can sometimes be done within minutes or hours. However, those are the very rare exceptions, and far from the norm.
Please bring in any of the computer’s original discs or other materials you have, as they are often very helpful. In addition, if we are repairing a laptop or other portable device we absolutely need the power cord.
We guarantee our work for one month after the date of any virus and spyware removal work done by us. Note this guarantee ONLY applies to our Malware removal service, and not to other forms of computer repair.
We use a specific set of programs to clean and fix your computer. WE WILL REMOVE ANY AND ALL ANTIVIRUS OR SPYWARE PROTECTION PRODUCTS ALREADY INSTALLED ON YOUR MACHINE, IN ADDITION TO ALL BROWSER TOOLBARS. If you choose, we will use your programs; however, this will void the warranty and is not recommended.
We STRONGLY recommend against using the following programs and applications as they are known to contain, or allow, malware: Kaaza, Limewire, and ANY other P2P application, toolbars, or any other program that requires spyware to install or run. If you install any of these programs in the month after removal, you will void the warranty.
Because any computer work can cause data loss, we recommend you backup your data prior to work being done. We can provide this service for a fee of $20. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LOST DATA EVEN IF A BACKUP IS PERFORMED.
We do not condone the use of pirated software, but we do respect your privacy. If Microsoft or another vendor reports that you are running pirated or unlicensed software we will inform you of steps you can take to remedy the situation, and we will continue work as normal. However, we will be unable to guarantee our work in any way.
